Help Us Create The Big Man Gathering 2013

Last year a number of men's groups came together to create the first ever "Big Man Gathering" together and now we've started to plan the Big Man Gathering 2. It's scheduled to take place near Brighton at the end of September and we'd love to hear from you if want to get involved this year. Read more here.......

Faith-baased men's groups on the rise 

Faith-based men's groups are becoming more popular in the UK hosting some great events listed on this site like Wanted in Scotland,the Authentic Men Weekend in Wales and the Christian Vision for Men(CVM) June gathering near Swindon

We are planning to bring some of these groups together at a "men of faith and spirit" event as part of this year's Third National Conference for Men and Boys. If you'd like to find our more about this event click here now.....

Men Beyond 50 joining forces with MENSTALK in London 

It's always great to see different men's groups building relationships and finding ways of working together. One example is the expansive Men Beyond 50 who have now joined forces with Kenny D'Cruz's MENSPEAK to create a new men's group in London for guys over 50. To find out more follow this link......

Events For Men In April and May

Our list of events for men around the UK is steadily growing with the listings for the next weeks alone featuring MensCraft, the ManKind Project, MALE Men’s Rites of Passage, the Brahma Kumaris, Noble Man and  Nick Clements, to name but a few.

We'd also like to remind you that men across Europe (and that includes men from the UK) are gathering in Germany in May for an International Symposium. If you want to take part in this international event see the website here for more information see the Men-Maenner website.

Weekend Retreat With David Polak 

Our featured event this month is David Polak's weekend retreat which takes place in the Newmarket area (31 May to 2 June).

The retreat - called 'Crossing The Threshold' will use a variety of creative methods, including group work, time in nature, music and ritual. 


New Men's Group With Simon Jacobs

Do you want to join or start an Integral Men's Group?

A group of men in Brighton are running an Integral Men's Group with the intention of developing a template that you can use to start your own integral men's group if you want to. The project is in its early stages and if you want to join or connect or find out more follow this link......

Do You Have Something You Want To Say About Men

I am working on a new project to give people who have something to say about men and men's stuff a platform. The project is in partnership with an existing online magazine with around 10 million readers. Abandofbrothers seeking £500,000 for permanent home

Brighton-based men's rites charity abandofbrothers is joining forces with painter David Freud to raise half a million pounds to help establish a permanent home for its groundbreaking work in the city. Read more here

Free online seminar for men happening now!

The Mankind Project(USA) is hosting a free Online Summit for men called The Power of Purpose over the next four days (Wednesday 27 February to Saturday 2 March 2013).Speakers include Dan Millman, Lion Goodman, Neale Donald Walsch and Jack Canfield. Read more here

Scottish Death Lodge Planned This Summer

Dave Bingham of Wild Earth is hosting a "Guided Death Lodge" in the Scottish Highlands."The Art of Letting Go" is a 5 day residential that runs from Wednesday June 5th to Sunday June 8th. Read more here

Nick Clements Runs Men Of All Ages Workshop

Professor Nick Clements is hosting a cross-generational workshop in Stroud this May that he says to enable men to "step into their indigenous beauty". Read more here

MENSPEAK in London is our featured men’s group this month

Kenny D'Cruz runs the MENSPEAK Men's Groups in London. These include monthly open groups, closed circles for men and occasional social activities like comedy nights and camping. Read more here

PROFESSOR OF DUDEONOMICS?

Professor Damien Ridge, a self-style 'Professor of Dudeonomics' who takes 'a fun but scholarly approach to looking at men' is presenting his inaugural lecture at the University of Westminster in February called 'Dudeonomics: Inside The Minds, Hearts and Bodies of Men'. Congratulations to Duncan Alldridge who has had an article published by The Good Men Project which you can read here.Duncan wrote about the experience of being in men’s groups after attending events in Brighton, London and Salisbury last year was published. News Update #1 January 2013


Happy 2013 to you all. 

There are four new men’s groups I want to let you know about - one for creative men, one for older men and one run by a woman.

And then there’s a big European men’s symposium coming up that I’d like to share with you.

INTEGRAL MEN’S GROUP

But first, would you or anyone you know be interested in helping to develop an Integral Men’s Group in Brighton?

I ran a workshop at the Big Man Gathering in 2012 using Spiral Dynamics and along with a couple of other Integral enthusiasts would love to explore what an Integral men’s group would be like. If this is of interest please let me know via glen@glenpoole.com

CREATIVE MEN’S GROUP

Everyone who came to the Big Man Gathering will remember Phil Milburn leading an awesome singing and movement session that inspired the idea of running regular Creative Men’s Group. If you’re interested in taking part in a Creative Men’s Group in Brighton then contact Phil and let him know you’re interested on Phil by email on:philip@lifemusic.org.uk

A WOMAN-LED MEN’S GROUP?

Tricia McLeod is a woman who runs friendly, supportive men’s groups that provide a safe space for men to discuss questions of an intimate nature around approaching and connecting with women. FINDHORN GROUP FOR ELDERS
